Seven of us, apparently

The seven pooing personalities

Not scientific. Not a diagnosis. Just a bit of fun that might tell you something interesting about yourself — and about the way your gut behaves when life gets loud.

  • The Holder

You learned early that holding it together — literally — was safer than letting go. Responsible, controlled, often "the good child." You ignore your own urge signals until your body forces the issue. Common sensation: "It's there but it won't move."

  • The Pusher

Driven, impatient, always racing the clock — including in the toilet. You force things instead of letting them flow, straining rather than waiting. Common sensation: "I have to push really hard to get it out."

  • The Clencher

Hyper-vigilant and anxious about being caught out. Your pelvic floor guards the exit like a bouncer, even when your body's ready to go. Common sensation: "It feels stuck right at the end."

  • The Poucher

A problem-solver who shifts, repositions, and improvises — because your body seems to collect things in awkward pockets rather than lining them up. Common sensation: "It gathers in a pocket and won't line up."

  • The Sprinter

Alert, reactive, easily startled — your gut runs on fight-or-flight. When the urge comes, it comes fast and without warning. Common sensation: "When it comes, it comes NOW."

  • The Fragmenter

Analytical and detail-focused, you rarely finish in one go. Little and often, with the nagging sense something's still unresolved. Common sensation: "There's always a bit left."

  • The Disconnector

Calm on the surface, disconnected underneath. You've learned not to feel much of anything down there until it's unavoidable. Common sensation: "I don't feel the urge until it's too late."
